School-Age Children

Children in school with speech or language difficulties can access speech therapy with us at any time. We can work in the school environment either during or outside class times, or we can provide clinic-based appointments that parents can bring their children to themselves. Wherever we work with a school-aged child, we try where possible to coordinate our intervention with the child’s teachers so that we are all incorporating the same goals and approaches to enhance the child’s speech and language abilities. Teachers value and welcome our input and advice on how to work with specific speech and language difficulties, and it is in the best interests of the child to work as a team towards their personal speech and language goals.
