Speech Sound Development

When children are learning to communicate, their speech sounds develop as their language use increases. Sometimes, children have difficulty learning or producing particular sounds, or difficulty getting the sounds into the right patterns or places. They can muddle up different kinds of sounds, or sometimes just leave them out altogether! Our first step is to conduct an in-depth speech analysis with the child, and from this we then work on the articulation difficulties and phonological delays and disorders that are causing the issue.
